hina's first "South Asia International freight train" departed from Lanzhou on May 11. Ten days later, the cargo train loaded with "made in China" will arrive in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, after being transported by rail and road. This marks another important step for Lanzhou to open to the west and south in the construction of "The Belt and Road", after the launch of "Lanzhou" special freight train to Central Asia and Europe.

In the more than two years since the initiative was put forward, countries along the Belt and Road have responded. Last year, China signed Mous with more than 30 countries to jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative. The framework of some major Belt and Road initiatives has begun to be built, such as the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, the China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor, the New Eurasian Land Bridge Economic Corridor, the China-Central Asia-West Asia Corridor, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor. Some have achieved encouraging results. In the past, freight transport between China and Europe mainly depended on air transport, sea transport and road transport, which cost a lot and took a long time. Due to its short distance, high speed and high safety, as well as its advantages of being safe, fast, green and less affected by natural environment, China-Europe Express has become the backbone of land transportation in international logistics.

The prospect of international freight is very broad, with very high cost performance. As we all know, in the past, our logistics trade to South Asia and Southeast Asia was mainly completed by sea. This special railway freight train can be said to open up the way of land transport, and will give full play to the advantages of railway transport. It can be imagined that in the future, the railway will drive the economic trade, cargo flow, personnel flow, cultural exchange and technical support among countries and cities, which will surely strengthen the "city" effect among countries. The development pattern of "The Belt and Road" will also establish a cooperation system for the common development of all countries in the world through mutual help and mutual progress.
