The Port of New York and New Jersey was the busiest U.S. port in July, moving 725,479 TEUs, the highest monthly total since October 2022, and bringing the port's full-year total to 4,465,823 TEUs.

This month's result is 6.5 percent less than in July 2022, when the port handled 776,167 TEUs.

Exports in July were 100,195 TEUs, up 4.6 percent from a year earlier. From January through July, the Port of New York and New Jersey exported 751,527 TEUs, down 1.3 percent from a year earlier.
